The evening was full of fun and Christmas cheer with some sixty members, guests and friends gathered together. The entertainment began with a performance of a short Christmas play Starlight Inn to get us all in the mood. Supper was our traditional turkey pie with mince pies to follow (thanks to Christina Pounder and Sue Burroughs for the catering). We were then treated to chaotic renderings of The Twelve Days of Christmas and Jingle Bells before settling to a fiendishly difficult table quiz and some great raffle prizes.

Our February Members Evening attracted a goodly number of members, including some new ones who were made most welcome, and their guests. The main feature of the evening was the première performance of Ralph Wigg's ghostly one-act play JIMMY, directed by the author, which was enthusiastically received. The cast was Hermin Daley, Mandy Faulkner, Clive Greig, Julian Hoad, Rob Ingram, Amy Kelland, Miq Kelland, and Ian Stuart. The crew were David Goddard, Ian Martin, Rob Pearson, Les Reading and Geofrey Steward.
The play was followed by a fish and chip supper for all. At the end of the evening Angela Sloan gave us the answers to her railway-themed table quiz, and the raffle was drawn. Angela brought the event to a close by thanking all the many people who had helped to make it such a great success.
